I intentionally chose Quinta Bonita, a luxurious country house in the southernmost region of Portugal, to support an intimate experience in which every guest is seen, heard, celebrated, and deeply cared for. Our retreat group of 8-17 participants will have exclusive use of this stunning venue.
The location could not be more sublime. Imagine yourself emerging from morning practice, feeling the warmth of the Algarve sun on your skin and a fresh ocean breeze. See yourself walking through the tranquil gardens, an old orchard, and smelling the scent of roses on your way to breakfast. Enjoy laughter and conversation over fresh, delicious, gourmet meals at our al fresco dining table. At the Quinta Bonita, you will be wrapped in comfort – elegant rooms, nourishing food, and thoughtful touches everywhere.
You will have three yoga practices per day to choose from and plenty of free time to rest, relax by the pool, or explore the surrounding area.

Overview
Perched high on the Algarve coast with panoramic ocean views, Quinta Bonita is a luxurious eight-bedroom country house set in its own 10,000 square meters of spectacular botanical gardens. The bountiful gardens stretch out from the house, down the hill and over the terraces in all directions, past the sounds of the fountains and out towards the rolling hills of the neighboring countryside and towards distant parkling seas. The villa is ideally located only 4 kilometers from the beautiful beach of Praia da Luz and the historic old town of Lagos with all its many beaches, restaurants, shops and bars.
Our wonderful hosts at Quinta Bonita will gladly help to coordinate excursions for any members of our group who are wanting to explore the local area and we can flexibly adapt the daily schedule to accommodate any of these types of outings!
Enjoy yoga practice in the recently expanded beautiful Portuguese-tiled yoga shala with cork-insulated wooden flooring overlooking the majestic Italian gardens. We will open the huge sliding glass doors on three sides so that you can enjoy the soundtrack of the fountain and the singing birds while feeling the kiss of the sun on your face. The yoga studio is fully equipped with mats, blocks, straps, eye pillows, and bolsters. All you need to bring to class is yourself! Beside the glass-fronted studio is a new spacious yoga terrace for outdoor practice.

Location
Quinta Bonita is located in the rural countryside just outside of Lagos in the Algarve region of Southern Portugal. It is perched on a hilltop and offers a peaceful spot with extensive botanical gardens, providing a blend of luxury and stunning natural vegetation.
Faro is the nearest airport and your retreat includes roundtrip transportation to and from the Faro airport at designated times. The journey by car takes approximately one hour. Alternatively, you can fly into Lisbon, rent a car, and drive south for approximately 3 hours.
Weather
The weather in Algarve in late May is typically warm, sunny, and ideal for a rejuvenating holiday with outdoor dining. You can expect daytime highs of 72-75 degrees fahrenheit with nights dipping to 57-61 degrees fahrenheit. You’ll get plenty of sunshine with minimal rain but the ocean will still be cool! May is one of the best months to visit this beautiful region as the landscape is still lush and green, the temperatures are perfect, and it’s not too crowded.
Accommodations
Quinta Bonita has eight spacious and beautifully decorated rooms, including one master suite. Each room is named after one of the glorious local beaches which you can discover within a short drive from the property. Each room has its own ensuite private bathroom and comes with air conditioning, blackout curtains to ensure a deep night’s sleep, luxury bathrobes, hairdryer, electronic safe, mini fridge, and complimentary wi-fi.
Please note: If you know that you snore (I get it! I snore too!) and wish to share a room, you are required to bring your own roommate. In other words, it is not possible for us to pair you with another guest that you have not met before.

With an exquisite original azulejos bathroom, where every tile was painted individually by hand – even the ceramic basin. The room opens out on to a large ground floor terrace with direct access to the pool and gardens. The terrace can be shared with Castelejo so works well for families.

Payment schedule – Please read very carefully
- DEPOSIT: A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $500 per person to reserve your spot. This deposit cannot be transferred to a different retreat or future event. This policy is firm and non-negotiable. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to secure your investment.
- SECOND PAYMENT - Sunday August 16th, 2026: A second non-refundable, non-transferable payment of $1,000 per person is due by Sunday August 16th, 2026. - If you cancel your retreat prior to August 16th, 2026 you forfeit the $500 deposit.
- If you cancel your retreat prior to February 28th, 2027, you forfeit the $500 deposit and the first payment of $1,000. You are not responsible for any further payments.

- A note about contagious illnesses such as flu or Covid-19: In the event a guest is diagnosed with a contagious illness or tests positive for Covid-19, he or she will not be allowed to attend the event and no refunds will be issued.
